TED’s Guide to the Wholesale Marketing Assistant, The Americas
Where does this role fit within Ted’s Team?
In this role, you will be based in the Los Angeles Wholesale Showroom, working alongside the LA-based North America Wholesale & Marketing teams and NY-Based Brand Communication teams, responsible for delivering the company’s brand communication objectives across the scope of wholesale and licensing. You will act as a guardian and ambassador for the brand at all times, ensuring that all marketing activities deliver commercial results. You will report to the Wholesale Marketing Manager, The Americas.
Wholesale Marketing Function
- Implement a cohesive marketing strategy for US/Canada wholesale business
- Trade show strategy implementation & coordination from a marketing perspective
- Coordinate and deliver approved co-op advertising for accounts
- Support in-store events for trustees and majors where necessary
- Create seasonal product knowledge packets for sales guardians
- Ensure consistency of all brand materials distributed by sales reps and licensees
- Update all campaign imagery seasonally across trustees
- Compile monthly board report with key activations
- Post event and product placement analysis and reporting
- Oversee gifting and seasonal collateral for trustees
- Monitor spend and budget tracker for all activations and events
- Travel for meetings with key business partners and trade shows
License Partner Marketing Function
- Strategize relevant marketing activity for US and Canada-based license partners
· Implement digital marketing opportunities for licensed product with relevant accounts
- Ensure that all activity delivered by license partners is on brand
- Provide approved assets for all buyer and customer facing activity
- Deliver seasonal collateral for license partner markets and trade shows

Maintain an in-depth understanding of Ted Baker in the following areas:
· Knowledge of Ted’s seasonal collections
· Knowledge of Ted’s US and Canadian wholesale business
· Knowledge of Ted’s digital marketing and social media objectives & strategy
Solid understanding of the market
· Awareness of innovative developments within the fashion, media, digital and entertainment industry of potential relevance to the business
· Awareness of all new communication channels – press, broadcast and digital media
· Awareness of Ted’s key contemporaries through research both online & in the field
Team Work
· Drive and deliver brand communications objectives for US & Canada Wholesale marketing in conjunction with the Wholesale Marketing Manager
· Weekly meetings with the Wholesale Marketing Manager to determine task list action plan, review current project list and sign off completed tasks
· Liaise with the appropriate teams at the UK Head Office to deliver overall wholesale brand communications objectives with the guidance and approval of the Wholesale Marketing Manager
Project & Budget Accountability
· Be accountable for the timely delivery of projects and management of associated budgets
· Ensure that all allocated projects and activities have a written plan which outlines:
- Objectives, strategy, tactics, timings, budget, and measures of success
